Dr. Juan Andrés Naranjo Martínez




Juan Andrés has more than 25 years of experience practicing law and is a founding partner in Naranjo Martínez & Subía. His practice focuses on the areas of aviation, business, competition, labor and intellectual property, and he is also an expert on matters related to the special regime for the Galapagos Islands. In recent years, Juan Andrés has served as the firm’s president and administrator and, with support from the other partners, has successfully positioned the firm as a leader in aviation law in Ecuador.

Given his international experience, Juan Andrés was delegated by the Ecuadorian government to represent it before the Inter-American Human Rights Commission in Washington for two consecutive periods. He also served as the personal advisor to Ecuador’s Attorney General from 1998 to 2002 and has participated in negotiations for Ecuador’s bilateral agreements in the area of aviation.

Juan Andrés provides ongoing legal counsel to national and foreign firms and supports them in their relations with both public and private enterprises.
