Ab. Germán Yunda Pilco




Germán focuses his practice on all aspects of intellectual property, with an emphasis on brands and patents.

His practice includes brands’ searches, requests and registries before the Ecuadorian Institute of Intellectual Property. He has advised national and international companies in the food, beverage, footwear, cosmetic, pharmaceutical industries, among others. In addition, his professional practice includes intellectual property litigation before the administrative authority and the national tribunals.

Germán’s work on intellectual property includes executive-level consulting to companies, referring to the availability of brands, processes of patents, maintenance of portfolio and licenses.

His experience in litigation includes the protection of rights and defense in cases of imitation and falsification of products, particularly the preparation of case strategy, obtaining precautionary measures and developing oral arguments before the organs of the Ecuadorian Institute of Intellectual Property and the national tribunals.
